December People December People’s electrifying style will breathe new life into Christmas classics for the holiday season. The December People perform all newly recorded songs in the style of classic rock legends like U2, Santana, The Who and Boston. Each member of the December People has injected their own flavor into creating holiday music unlike any other. They’ve taken Christmas classics and made them accessible and enjoyable for listeners of all ages. This is a must-see performance at the 2010 San Jose Holiday Parade! |

Fei Tian Academy of the Arts California Fei Tian Academy of the Arts California is a private school for grade 6-12 providing traditional arts education and rigorous college preparatory academic. The academy prepares students for overall success in life by instilling self esteem poise, discipline, determination and collaboration. All faculty from the academy are from Shen Yun Performing Arts, the world class classical Chinese dance and music company. The students are thrilled to bring their traditional Chinese dance to the 29th annual San Jose Holiday Parade. |

San Jose State University Spartan Marching Band The Spartan Marching Band, under the direction of Mr. Scott Pierson, takes the field in Spartan Stadium each fall semester, creating an electrifying atmosphere for the thousands of fans engaged by our thrilling performances. The San Jose State University Spartan Marching Band has been a part of the San Jose Holiday Parade since its inception and is proud to be a part of the 29th year. |

Children's Musical Theater Hairspray delighted audiences by sweeping them away to 1960’2 Baltimore, where the 50’s are out – and change is in the air. Loveable plus-size heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing, and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, “The Corny Collins Show.” Overnight she finds herself transformed from an outsider to teen celebrity. This musical will have you singing and dancing all the way to the hair saloon!

Ballet San Jose Hailed by The San Francisco Chronicle as “one of the most entertaining versions of Nutcracker anywhere in the country,” Dennis Nahat’s treasured holiday classic returns for an extended run December 11-26 at San Jose Center for the Performing Arts. This triumphant tale of Maria and her beloved nutcracker will delight audiences, young and old alike; and downtown San Jose’s holiday decorations, outdoor ice rink and “Christmas in the Park” displays provide the perfect backdrop for a fun filled family outing. The theater itself is a wonderland of surprises, replete with lavish lobby decorations, a boutique of ballet and holiday treasures, choirs singing cards, the “Pocket Lady” passing out free toys, and characters from the show posing for photos with patrons.
